Winners of Platform music festival 2018's emerging artist award, Out of the Vale's unique blend of folk, country, spiritual music and infectious energy on stage makes them an exciting, accessible and must-see live act.

 

After meeting at the University of Sheffield the band began by meeting in the kitchen of their halls and playing music together. With several passionate songwriters in the group, they quickly built up a large repertoire of original music which explores themes of home, faith, belonging and hope. They draw from their shared experiences and heritage as Christians to infuse their catching foot-stomping tunes with an air of poignancy.
